She married twice. She married William SMITH. William died 1699. She married John WILLIAMS * before 1667.

She made a will in Richmond Co, VA, 24 APR 1704.(1107) In the name of God Amen. I, Eve Smith, of the County of Richmond and Parish of North Farnham, being weak of body but in sound and good disposing memory, praise be given to God for the same, do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following that it say: First and principally, I resign my Soul into the merciful hands of Almighty God, my Creator, assuredly hope through the mercy of my Blessed Savior to obtain remission of all my sins, and my body I commit to the Earth whence it was taken to (?tly) buried by the discretion of my Executor herein named, and (?) for the worldly good and estate the Lord hath lent me (three words illegible). ( ? ) I give and bequeath to well-beloved Grandson, William Goad (two words illegible) and furniture, three, (difher ? ) size plates and three young hogs. Secondly, I give and bequeath to my well-beloved Grandson John Goad two thousand five hundred pounds of tobacco to buy him a servant, one featherbed, a rug, a pair of (Blemhotts ? ), one pair of sheets, three pewter dishes, six plates, three young hogs. Thirdly, I give and bequeath to my well-beloved daughter, Katherine Goad, her father John Williams' sea chest, all my own wearing clothes except two suits of (Laved ? ) linen which I give and bequeath to my well-beloved granddaughter, Hannah Goad. Fourthly, I give and bequeath to the aforesaid Hannah Goad two men servants; the new bed and furniture; half a dozen of large dishes; a dozen of plates: a warming pan and spice mortar; two pewter candlesticks and one brass candlestick; a pair of hand irons; two pairs of tongs; a smoothing iron and a pair of bellows; the great, middle and little pots and appurtenances to them; half a dozen of chairs; the great table and (form ? ); two little tables; two chests and a looking glass; two mares; one nock bed and furniture; a cart and wheels and the (boat ? ) and a side saddle; two pewter chamber pots; one new tankard; a linen wheel; one woolen wheel; linen for three pairs of sheets; all the sheets belonging to the house, those before given excepted; eighteen ells of dowlor[a coarse linen]; all the table linen belonging to the house Fifthly, I desire that the stock of cattle and sheep be divided unto four parts and that the aforesaid Hannah have the half of them. I will also the boys have the other half. I will that all that I gave to the two boys aforesaid be removed of the plantation and all that I gave to the girl remain. Furthermore, I will that if John should die before he is of age that his share fall to his sister, Hannah, and if Hannah die without heirs of her body lawfully begotten, her share to be equally divided between the two boys. If William should die before he is of age, then his part to go to the ( ? ) child that Katherine Goad, alias Williams, shall have (of Abraham) Goad her present husband. ( ? ) I give all the ( ? ) of my personal estate of what kindsoever within ( ? ) and without not hereinbefore bequeathed after my debts and (personal ? ) expenses discharged and ordain my loving son, Abraham Goad, sole executor of this my last will and testament, revoking all other wills by me heretofore made. Furthermore I desire that my estate be inventoried and not appraised, as witness my hand and seal this 24th day of April 1704. Proved by the oaths of Charles Dodson and Anne Dodson in Richmond Co., Va., Court 4th day of October 1705.

INVENTORY OF MRS. EVE SMITH. DECEASED

In obedience to an order of Court dated the 5th day of December 1705, we whose names are hereunder written have met at the house of Abraham Goad and have then and there inventoried all and singular the estate of Mrs Eve Smith, Dec'd, that was presented to our view (virt?)"

One ten-foot table and forme, two three-foot tales, six leather chairs, two old leather chairs, one pair large andirons, two pair potracks, one brass mortar and pestole, one warming pan, one pair (?) and lathorn, one small looking glass, six candlesticks, two (?) dishes, three-quart tankard, one small (rason?), two dozen and half of plates, one dozen spoons, four pottongors (pothangers ?), one small bowl with bottle, one spit, three pair pothooks, one iron pestole, two pair tongs, one fire shuffle, one case knife, one smoothing iron and heater, one grid iron and chafing dish, one ( ? ) fork, two ladles, one (breyf ?, one iron, one cutting knife, three pewter chamber pots, one silk cubbord cloath, one woolen and one linen spinning wheel, one great chest, two small chests, one bread plate, one tumbler, three featherbeds, curtains, valences-and all furniture, one featherbed and bolster, two pillows, one flock bed, rug, bolster and blanket, three pair sheets, three towels, two table cloths, two dozen napkins, six iron wedges, one cross-cut saw, one cart and wheels, one ould (goate ?), 3,900 pounds of tobacco, two men servants, one had two years to serve, the other one., woman with two years to serve., two mares and two colts, (hundred ? ) sheep, eighteen ells of Doslass, thirteen cows, six large (horses ?), eight two-years old, ( ? ) yearlings, two calves, Given under our hand and seals the last day of January 1705/6: George Glassock, Rawle Downman,Donald Donnehem.
